| ARGYLE BELL
was
born Charles Argyle Campbell in Tacoma,
Washington on January 27th, 1951, to Charles Roland Campbell and Mary Agatha McCarthy Campbell. An only child, he was known as Chuck to his family and childhood friends. (He made the switch to Argyle Bell when he joined the musicians' union and found another Charles A. Campbell already on the rolls.) Argyle's father was a career military officer, and the family moved often, living in Washington, Oregon and Alaska. |

An unlikely image: Argyle in uniform, saluting. He didn't grow up to be a military type... to say the least. |
The teenaged Argyle, home for Christmas. He attended art school in Oregon, and spent a semester at Harvard. |
| Information
on Argyle's childhood, and on the years before he arrived
in Nashville in 1982, is very sketchy. If you have additional information or photos. please contact info@wildoatsrecords.com |
